"This album (and pretty much all of JPOP) can be had from www.amazon.co.jp with a VISA or Mastercard. Right now it goes for $28.00 direct (2850 yen). Just copy the ASIN number and plug it in on the Japanese site (left side top blue box, it says saachi [search]). You can switch the menus to English for checkout."

"This famous japanese singer and actress has a lot of interesting tracks, not only the ones used in the Kill Bill soundtrack. If you like international music, you should try this. This is no JPOP, it is more like a japanese female version of Nat King Cole."
Please check out the movie Lady Snowblood

"I know everyone and their brother knows these songs from Kill Bill... but these songs are over 30 years old from a then little known revenge movie called Lady Snowblood... Check that movie out to get the true context with these songs."
Zenkyokusyu and Kaji Meiko

"Like most Americans, I discovered Kaji Meiko through Quentin Tarentino's comments and use of two of her songs in the "Kill Bill" movies. After researching her through the Internet, I watched some of her 70s era movies, including "Lady Snowblood," which Tarentino acknowledged was a major influence to "Kill Bill." Kaji Meiko's "Zenkyokusyu" CD includes both songs from "Kill Bill" and 18 more. All are masterfully performed. Her incredibly beautiful voice is pure, soulful, haunting, perfectly on pitch, and totally irresistible. I don't speak Japanese, but as I listen, I relate to her lyrics and feel her message. She and her band skillfully blend elements of smooth jazz, blues, Japanese folk, and classical sounds, perfectly complementing her rich and touching voice. Those that hear this CD will discover Kaji Meiko's Japanese "Enka" music, delightful, enchanting sounds that leave one wanting more. She is a classy, lovely lady, remarkably talented, elegant, and truly awesome singer! I'd pay most anything to hear and see her perform live, but since I live in Texas, far from Japan, this CD is the next best thing. Special thanks to Quentin Tarentino for introducing Kaji Meiko to Western audiences. As a 60 year old Texas cowboy, I never thought I'd be interested in a Japanese singer, but this lady is truly amazing!"

"Outstanding CD. Although pricey, the purchaser will find tracks that are very enjoyable and will ultimately conclude that the CD was well worth the purchase price. If you like her song that was including on the Kill Bill soundtrack, there are better songs that exist on this CD."
