Best album of all time for me personally... I guess you already love speed metal, but this is so much more... unique songs written that play into what you expect and then slide you rhythmically in another direction... pay special attention to the solos and the rhythmic changes behind them. The lyrics are cool too.

CD Reviews

What's thrash metal? This is music.

"This album transcends metal and rock. These "genres" that people apply to music are just a way of explaining why their music is inferior. Music is music, and garbage is garbage.

That said, this album has all the trappings of rock, that is, electric guitars and drums, but these are a means to creating music, and Mustaine achieves that end. This review is about a man, and the musical pieces that he produced.

So whether you like "metal" or "rock" has no bearing on whether or not you'll like this album because this is MUSIC."
This is about the sound, not how much it kicks ass!

"Ok, my friend collects vinyl and I do appreciate some of the qualities about vinyl LP's. After saying that I think they are worthless for the most part. STATIC SNAPPING POPPING and distortion in the music that vinyl lovers claim makes the music sound better. Now even you vinyl lovers please READ ON! I am not a hater of LP's but I am realistic about my music medium CD's and Records are both good I think they just sound different. Now as for this piece of vinyl it is almost PERFECT. It is the original master tapes NOT the re-masters and it does sound superior to the original CD. I still have one small complaint about the NOISY DISTORTIONS (sounds like staticy distortion rolling in the background). I listened to it FRESHLY opened brand new on a good record player and it sounds better that the original CD.

I buy some records and I do plan on purchasing this one and then ripping it to a high quality digital format so that a can put the record back in its case and never play it AGAIN!

I have compared many records back to back and sorry vinyl lovers some sound worse.

I have complaints about the re-mastered CD's but they do sound better than the original CD release PERIOD. I have listened to Megadeth's CD's for 20 years and I cannot listen to them anymore since the re-masters came out.

So I say this is a good purchase if you are a lover of RIP and want it to sound original but with better sound mixing with clearer definition of the instruments.

I only gave it 4 stars because of the rolling static distortion in the music, its probably the part that vinyl lovers will say is the best part!"
