"Probably, anyone looking at this is expecting the mega-hit Star Wars Meco single, from over twenty years ago. This ain't it. This is an album of new material, with weak rapping over Star Wars sampling, and tepid songs about Star Wars topics, like the Force and fate, and destiny.

You should instead look for the "The Best of Meco" which DOES include the fantastic Star Wars disco single, the Empire Strikes Back follow-up song, as well as the lesser known Close Encounters disco single. That's the groovy disco flash back that we all knew and loved, not this "Star Wars Party." The party is over on the OTHER album!"

"Upon hearing Meco's "Star Wars Party" for the first time, I was quite disappointed :-(....Cost me an arm and a leg to import the almost EP sized CD from America to Australia and it was definitely not up to scratch as far as the vastly superior 1970's and 1980's Big Band-big sound albums were.

I listened to it again and I lifted the score from 2 to 3 star and that's where it will stay. The singing part is almost atrocious !!!

Other die-hard MECO fans may feel the same about my review which is a sad reflection on the work of an earlier true genius and master entertainer !. Come on Meco Monardo make an album reminiscent of your past greatness and produce your greatest work without the tinny sounding vocals. Sorry !."
