One of my favorites (but take it down an octave)

(4 out of 5 stars)
"One of my all-time favorite Spanish albums. The themes are contemporary, the music lively (not your every-day whiny ballad music) and the Spanish is clear and entertaining. The singer, Ana, has a fantastic, clean, crisp soprano voice. I would have given this album 5 stars, but a friend of mine, who doesn't speak Spanish, said it sounds like listening to a Chipmunks cartoon set to music and then sped up. When looked at in that light, the songs do tend to grate, and I haven't been able to look at the album the same way since. Still, Mecano hadn't yet devolved out of fun-themed songs into slower, longer, mournful serious ballads, and so I easily find myself singing along to every song on the album (although an octave or two lower)."
