"This CD has always been the #1 selling Polish Chirstmas Carol (Koledy) album, and is still considered to be the best. Mazowsze and Slask are the top two Polish Folk Song and Dance companies in the world, and with 12 songs by Mazowsze and 5 by Slask, you know you this is the gold standard.

There are a few CD's out there that have some of these songs, but not all, so do check the track listings.

Meanwhile, Mazowsze has released a newer CD that I like better, because it has more the Polonaise feel to it. (Polish carols are mostly Polonaise tempo).

It is called Koledy Polskie, and is a re-issue of their Koledy i Pastoralki CD (Carols and Pastorales). It has 19 cuts and includes two solos with Stanislaw Jopek.

There is also a Live version of this, called Polska Wigilia (Polish Christmas Eve), with 15 songs.

Slask also has 3 newer Christmas CD's: Christmas Carols, Cicha Noc (Silent Night), & Swieta Noc (Holy Night) part of their zlota kolekcja (golden collection).

All of these CD's are worth the price, but first you need to own the CD featured here: Koledy, Chirstmas Carols from Mazowsze & Slask. This is the classic album. A must have for all traditional Christmas celebrations !!"
