"This is the best MATSOD cd yet. It brings alot more of the band's "southern" roots, which, personally, i feel is what truly defines the concept Maylene strives for. Overall, 5 stars. If you want a truly different cd that you wont take out of your CD player, purchase III."
Another amazing release from Maylene

"If your into Maylene, this album is another hit from the band. The first album was great, the second was awesome, and the third is just as great. They still have the same sound pretty much in most songs, but some are a bit different which are great. Some having Dallas singing like he used to for Underoath instead of all the yelling which is cool. Just a shock was the first song that was leaked and it is great. My favorite songs have to be "Last Train Coming" and "Step Up" and "Listen Close"....Listen Close is the one where you can actually hear him more clearly than his other lyrics. It is nothing short of amazing. Last Train Coming has a very cool chorus and the classic Maylene verses. Step Up has Dallas singing with a different tone which is very cool. If you liked The first and second albums, definately get this album, you won't be disappointed."
If Lynyrd Skynyrd did play metal...

"...and Ronnie and/or Johnny Van Zant gargled gravel, they would sound like Maylene and the Sons of Disaster. Thank God Dallas Taylor was "asked to leave" Underoath, otherwise we would not have 3 fantastic releases from this band. Not quite as hardcore as the previous 2, yet no less rocking, MATSOD branch out with a more melodic album that will get stuck to your brain for days (Just try and get the chorus of Just a Shock out of your head). A few banjos thrown in with a bit of clean singing from Dallas along with their Skynyrd from hell 3 guitar attack and you've got an excellent release that in the end unfortunately, will only see the light of day for metal music lovers willing to experience more than your everyday hardcore metal release. Definitely one of my favorite cds I've purchased this year."
Another great album from a great band!

"Not much else to be said here. This album is awesome. A couple songs have a different feel than the last two albums, but they are good just the same. If you're a newcomer to MATSOD then I suggest you just go ahead and buy all three albums and experience one of the more awesome "under the radar" bands out there. I love this band and their original sound, you're not going to find many gems out there like this. Buy this album!"
