For Lovers Only

"This "best of" album mainly focuses on the commercial success that he gained through his first three studio albums as well as his live album. Notably absent are the non-album tracks that were released on movie soundtracks, namely "Lets Not Play The Game", "As My Girl" and "Fortunate". "For Lovers Only" was never officially released here in the states despite having having been advertised by many retail outlets, although it was released in Europe yet it was only done so in very limited numbers, making this album quite difficult to find since it is now out of print. The track list for the album is as follows:
1. Sumthin' Sumthin'
2. Ascension (Don't Ever Wonder)
3. Lifetime
4. ...Til The Cops Come Knockin'
5. For Lovers Only
6. NoOne
7. This Woman's Work
8. Whenever Wherever Whatever
9. Suitelady (The Proposal Jam)
10. I'm You: You Are Me And We Are You
11. Matrimony: Maybe You
12. Silently
13. Get To Know Ya
14. Gotta Get: Closer (unplugged)
15. The Suite Urban Theme (The Hush) (unplugged)
In my opinion, this "best of" album is ok, however it feels incomplete without radio singles like Fortunate and Luxury; not only that, there is nothing new if you have all of the albums, they could have at least thrown in an unreleased b-side, alternate mixes or even better would have been the Cottonbelly remix of "Lets Not Play The Game" but that's just my opinion.
I would only recommend "For Lovers Only" to fans who are only familiar with his most recent material off of Black summer's night other than that, there is nothing new here to lure in the older fans who have all his albums, unless you just want to complete your Maxwell collection. In closing, "For Lovers Only" is a nice glimpse of the albums that came before the Black Summer's Night trilogy."
A MUST HAVE!!!

"If you love Maxwell, you will love this CD. It is a collection of all of his old hits. I had really forgotten about all of his great hits. I am glad he is back with a vengeance! Enjoy!"
