CD Reviews

Upbeat, Uplifting

"It's unbelievably refreshing to find an artist who weaves poetry and a soulful folksy sound into a delightful lyrical tapestry that has you humming and singing along to this hidden jewel of an album. The overall tone of Dreamworld is informed by an ultimate trust and respect for the higher principles of love, truth, and beauty. A must for kids - some tracks have a pacifying lullabye quality and their positive tenor inspires an optimism towards life and possibility. Maximiliano's voice is the gift of angels. A compelling, promising debut from a talented singer and songwriter."
A promising first album

"I've always liked artists who are difficult to categorize. And Maximiliano Nealon is without any doubt one of them. My first reaction was to compare him with a healthy mixture of Bob Dylan and Tom Petty. But after listening to the CD over and over again I realized I was not being fair with either Dylan, Petty or Nealon. As with many good records, it takes time to get the feeling of this album (never trust an artist who you like right away), and the first time you listen to Dreamworld you may think many of the songs sound the same. But, trust me, they don't. There are three songs which, if possible, I would invest money on. They are "Dreamworld", "You`ve got the Glow" and "Looking In". I recommend this CD even if you don't understand English, because the music itself is highly inspiring. But if you do understand English, then pay good attention to the lyrics. You'll see there is much more than music to these songs."
