The Road Sessions Collection takes Matthew Smith's two previous EPs (My Song Is Love Unknown: The Road Sessions Vol. 1 and Love Shall Never Die: The Road Sessions Vol. 2), and remasters them together with one new track, "Redeeming Love." All the hymns were recorded on portable equipment in between concerts on tour in hotel rooms and churches, giving the collection a sense of immediacy and raw energy.
