Its very subtle instructions gently encourage the mind to let go of its usual outer-directed focus and experience the silent awareness. Unlike meditations which keep the mind focused on images, the body or the breath, this guided meditation allows the mind to relax completely, creating an open, expanded state of awareness. In this relaxed state, thoughts, emotions and bodily sensations are allowed to come and go without resistance, creating an experience of complete acceptance. CD Reviews
Guides You into the Stillness

"I love the CD!! It's so peaceful, and even when my monkey brain is very active, it calms down. Usually, by the end of the meditation, I have found a very calm, peaceful place--quite in an altered state. It's a great guide for a beginner, because it reminds you gently of the basics as you go along. This one is great for just relaxing into the stillness."
Gentle way to silent being

"Some guided meditation tapes I've tried use lots of visual scenes to create a peaceful feeling. Others give detailed instructions on how to breath etc. This one is so simple and easy, and that is what I like about it. It allows the listener to settle down without interfering and provides just wnough gentle hints to keep you on the right track.
Some of the meditations I have done with this CD are the among the deepest I have ever experienced in many years of meditating. It seems to work best when I stop trying and let whatever is happening to happen. Thanks Mary and Richard for this pathless path to inner peace."
Unfocused

"Mary maddux' voice is pleasant enough but I find that the monologue does not aide me in focusing or ignoring outside distractions. At one point in the monologue she giggles. I am always waiting for the giggle knowing that the session will be over soon. The music is very much in the background, sometimes inaudible so definitely not a distraction."

"Soothing words and music. Very relaxing CD. I use it to help get my mind to a more balanced place. It always calms me down, and makes me feel less worried about problems."
