"When I was six or seven years old, an uncle of mine came home with an album called THIS IS EMI QUADRAPHONIC SOUND. Of the songs included, I felt very impressed with THANK HEAVENS I'VE GOT YOU, by MARVIN, WELCH 6 FARRAR. There was no information about the band, but now, after 20 or so years, I realize they were former members of THE SHADOWS. I can't believe it!: songs are extraordinarily blended, beautifully arranged and masterly recorded. If this album sounds like that song, it's absoultely great and recommendable."
A good sampling of excellent work

"Tracks from the two Marvin, Welch and Farrar albums and the one Marvin and Farrar album are included here. You don't get all the great tracks, of course, but this is a good sample of the excellent (though under-appreciated)output from this group. It's quite a mix what with the different styles of the three albums. Engineers at Abbey Road studios claimed these songs were among the best they ever recorded. Take a listen and you'll hear why: great instrument work, great vocals. Is this country rock? Could be although Farrar is Australian and Marvin and Welch are English!"
