"It seems a sad thing that Amazon is only carrying one of Mr. Wyndham-Read's recordings---he has several recordings that are of great interest to the folk music fan. His recordings document great songs from Australia as well as songs of his native England. This particular record displays a wonderful range of songs, from a transplanted American song (Gentle Annie) to super-typical Australian bush songs (like Shearing in a Bar). Mr. Wyndham-Read's rich warm voice and his evocative guitar work are well displayed. The accompaning booklet is most informative in supplying some background on each of the songs. Any person with an interest in Australia, folk music, or wishing to hear someone who sings with knowledge as well as skill will find this album most enjoyable."
