"Marty Grosz is the walking embodiment of old school jazz guitar. The joy in his playing is as resonant in the wood as the notes that tickle your toes to tappin'. If you like the masters of the 20's and 30's, as mentioned in Mr. Graham's review, you can't go wrong here. Mr. Grosz's ampless virtuosity sings with a tone rarely touched by today's plucky six stringers. Mike Peters makes an admirable accomplice.
When I win the lottery, I'm commissioning Marty to write the story of his life, which is largely a history of the acoustic jazz guitar. I've never heard a Grosz recording that didn't excel, and this is one of his finest. And as always, it's beautifully engineered; you can almost see the sparkle on the strings.
If you want furious and fuzzy electric guitars, this ain't it.
If your ears demand a master's master laying down the law on classic acoustic jazz guitar, this disc is as essential as the air itself."
