"Just listen to 'Desperadoes waiting for a train';Even if you are not a guitar buff and even if you think drilling for oil is the very depth of wickedness, you can still feel the overwhelming sadness of a oilman's passing from wild exuberance to the faltering dignity of his last monents (a song written by the legendary Guy Clark about his adopted grandfather) where the song reaches out to anyone's own laments over missed opportunities and wasted years. The ending of the song is just a crowning glory which is worth the price of this extraordinary album alone."
