"I had a the unique chance of hearing Martin Kasik live in Charleston, SC, when he played for the prestigious "International Piano Series". After having met him, Martin kindly gave me this cd as a gift. After the concert experience AND after hearing this CD, I hail this man as one of the very rare successors to the Pianists of the Golden Age of the piano. His technique, is tremendously perfect; his speed is prodigious, but even more amazing and dazzling is his touch. Music flows like velvet under his hands, and every phrase is gracefully , elegantly connected to the next one. I have never heard such a graceful, effortless flowing of notes, and I expect, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that this Pianist will ascend rapidly and be placed amongst the very great. If you like Schumann and Rachmaninov, this disc will dazzle you. Schumann is pure passion, delicate, flowing, yet strong. Rachmaninoff is spectacularly coloured, transcendental, and reaches peaks of expression that are (and this is an understatement) brilliant and grandiose. The n.2 Prelude on this disk has a feeling that can only be described as "superhuman". Truly a spectacular record to own. Magnificent, brilliant and superbly played."
