Rill presents this worthy successor to the acclaimed masterpiece "Hobo Dream". The German musician & the Americana scene are even tighter with this level of quality and great songwriting. "The Price Of Sin" is predominantly acoustic, carefully arranged and offers a much broader topical palette. The brilliant songs rely on 3 pre-eminent qualities: Rill's maturity & confidence, the musicality & engineering-know-how by co-producer George Bradfute and the contributing musicans' clear grasp & sensitive realization of the material. Bradfute creates the right atmosphere for each song and graces them with his own instrumental contributions (dobro, cello, acoustic and electric guitars). The basic sessions were recorded live in Nashville in Oct. 2005 with Dave Jacques upright bass, Bryan Owings drums, and hard-to-believe multi-instrumentalist Fats Kaplin on banjo, mandolin, fiddle, pedal steel, lap steel, and bottleneck guitars.
