Great b-sides

"This is a must for serious Lanegan fans, especially for those who liked Bubblegum. "Hit the City" is a great track, with dual vocals by Lanegan and PJ Harvey, but the b-side "Mud Pink Skag" is an up-tempo rocker that is as good or better than any track on the album. With driving drums ala "Driving Death Valley Blues," the track is a raucous mix of ZZ Top guitar riffs and Stone Age guitar squeals, all wrapped up nicely over Lanegan's baritone and some call-and-answer background vocals. The final track "Mirrored" is a downtempo guitar-and-voice number, also as good as anything from Bubblegum. I was thrilled when I heard the tracks, proving that singles with b-sides are still worth buying. I highly recommend buying this new or used from one of the z-shops, as these tracks are impossible to find on I-Tunes or the internet."
