"Once you get past the fact that it is Scar talking to you, this is a very engaging disc. There's a lovely balance between text and music here, and part of Isham's inevitability as a composer is that he creates mood with just a few musical elements."
Remarkable Recording with Irons and Isham

"Part of the now unavailable Rabbit Ears recordings of classic stories for children, this pairing with Jeremy Irons and music of Mark Isham is one of the best! I've had the whole series and played them for nieces, nephews and others. They're wonderful! Unlike books on tape, these recordings have featured creative readings by well known actors (Irons, Close, Nicholson, Streep, etc.) and music by composers and performers who were part of the original Windham Hill lineup. Get them all if you can....they're amazing....and this one is undoubtedly one of the very best!"
