"As a classical guitarist myself, I listened to this cd before i was familiar with the music of Castenuevo-Tedesco. This is probably the kind of thing you'd only really like if you're a musician yourself, especially a guitarist.With that said, the performance is impressive. Lorenzo Micheli covers a variety of techniques, but most notable is the composer's style. Castelnuevo-Tedesco wrote much film music, and even his guitar works have that feel. The excitement comes and goes -- there are short explosive parts to mostly calm pieces, and vice-versa. There are few selections with predictable melodies, and even those are fairly complicated. Both performance and recording are excellent, but you probably won't enjoy this much unless you've listened to or played classical guitar for a while"
