"While I was stationed in der DBR, in Rheinland Phalfz, kreis Kaiserslautern, I remember it being a cold northern european winter, snow on the ground and the wind blowing, the light mist that was falling was freezing when it hit the ground. I sought shelter that day in a konditerei, in the city center of Kaiserslautern. I bought some goulasch soupe and a brotchen. The soupe took off the bite of winter, from my hands and face. The konditerei was playing some music on the loudspeaker system, and I asked the waitress who the singer was, it was Marianne Rosenberg. after finishing the soupe I went across the street to the department store, Hertie. I bought this album, when I returned to the apartment in Weilerbach, I played the album. With snow falling outside the window (fenster), a bottle of Munsterer Schoss Kappelle, a german white wine, and Marianne Rosenberg's voice what a afternoon transpired."
