Fabulous set of CD's

"The three CD's in this set are three of the best in my Christmas collection. There are many well-known guest artists, as well as many selections by Marian McPartland herself. The general tone is jazz, but it is jazz that stays with the music rather than wandering away into no man's land like some jazz does. The CD's are easy to listen to and really very beautiful. I love the piano renditions by Marian. If you like piano music, I think you will like this set. It is definitely my favorite Christmas music for 2006!"

"I am writing this review in August of 2007, a couple of days after seeing Marian Live in performance. If you can, see her live ASAP....she is 89 years old. And get this Christmas Music. I agree with the previous reviewer. It was my best Christmas Music of 2006. Oftentimes at Christmas I travel by car long distances and even longer if the weather is bad. Soooo, having these CD's along with me kept me in Christmas spirit without having to listened to the hackneyed radio Christmas Carols. Also, if you're having guests over for Christmas, this is excellent as a musical backdrop to your festivities."
