Marian tackles life, love, astronomy, and beer in her most ambitious project to date. Something Fierce was funded by fans and lovingly recorded in homes and studios all around the country.
The music is a little silly but mostly very sincere and honest, mostly acoustic, occasionally symphonic, eclectic, rhythmic and warm with a side of whimsy. Marian approximates the sweeter, wilder improvisational vocals in her live shows more on this record than on any to date.
Marian really really really hopes you like it, or at least some of it.
Photography by Brian Adams and illustrations by Karen Luke Fildes comprise the extensive album art and liner notes. The double album and 16-page lyric booklet are printed on post-consumer recycled materials and subscribe to Oasis CD's carbon neutral program.
