"I only have to say that this CD shows "La Divina" at her prime!!! It contains extracts from Turandot (the only authentic extract of the Buenos Aires Turandot) and Norma, both sang at the great Teatro Colòn in Buenos Aires, 1949. It also has the incredible Abigaille from Nabucco, a role she portrayed at Teatro San Carlo, Naples, in the same year (with a lot of Es!!). Finally, this compilation ends with some arias of the 1950 season in Mexico City, when she sang at the luxurious Palacio de Bellas Artes Il Trovatore (her first Leonora), Norma, Aida and Tosca. It is a pain that the recording intruments of these years were so primitive, resulting in a very poor sound quality... But the important is that these recordings exist and are proof of Maria Callas's greatness."

"Those people saying Callas had "no voice" only prove how ignorant and stupid they are. Of course, conductors like Serafin, Gui, Giulini, Votto etc. and critics like Steane, Porter and Kesting and colleagues like Sutherland, Kraus, Caballe etc. are deaf because they worked with Callas and ADORED her. Trust those people, they know what they're talking about. Young Callas sounds divine!"
What a debut disc!
