"Do not miss this rare opportunity to listen carefully to this special CD. It has a very rare collection of songs interpreted by the most gifted interpreter/singer Maria Bethânia, a brazilian singer born in Bahia, started her carreer at the age of 17. Maria Bethânia is considered to be the one who carries the Voice of The Goddess, it is very powerful and very soothing, as the waves of the ocean. In this album you will be priviledged to listen to songs like the "Missa Agraria Carcará", which was recorded in the early 60's, her voice is rusky and real, like a thunder, and there are other early recordings like (my favorites) "tres apitos", "anda Luzia", "De Manhã" e Moro na Filosofia. There are samba de rodas which are Maria Bethânia's favorites, and also the ballads ( baladas de amor) like "Anos Dourados", "Ultimo Desejo" and "O ciume"also my favorite. What I most like about Bethânia is that she always revives our afrobrazilian-tupi culture, by singing songs like "YoruBahia"."
