Margaret Becker is an incredible songwriter. This is a wonderful sampling of her work from the gentle "Say the Name" to the blues/rock feel of "Soul Tatoo," you'll love this album!

"Margaret Becker's earliest album here is probably her best. As another reviewer said, it is foundational to understanding her later works. She pours her heart out to God in song after song with some of the most beautiful vocals I've ever heard. Even more striking are the honest and sincere lyrics which she wrote as a testimony of her own life struggles as a Christian. Maggie B is without a doubt one of adult, contemporary Christian music's top 3 female vocalists and I believe this album is her all time best. Her newer sounds tend to be more geared towards mainstream pop and loses some of the awesome, inspiring vocals found throughout 'Soul.' If you're a fan of angelic female vocalists, such as those found in Mariah Carey, Annie Lenox, and Jessic Simpson (in their earlier years...), this album should appeal to you."

"I remember my dad taking me to the World I See in You Concert, the summer before my freshman year in college. He had began to listen to CCM and I was really impressed with Margaret's vocals and the purity in the lyrics of the songs. I became a true fan after that concert. Margaret rocked. I had never experienced anything like it. These songs bring me back to that year when I gave my life to Christ. "Say the Name" still makes me cry...and "I will be with you" puts me right back in that charismatic church in Florida on that concert night. I'd agree this is probably Margaret's best work...but follow up with "Grace"..."moment of choice" is well worth it."
