CD ReviewsWelcome Back Marcus EB | USA | 05/19/2002 (4 out of 5 stars) "After a 4 year hiatus from recording, Marcus Printup returns with a real winner. 8 of the 10 songs on this album were composed by Marcus and they each show originality as well as his rock solid roots in funk. He credits bands like Earth, Wind and Fire to developing his language and that is apparent in the opening cut - "The Bullet Train". He also appears to be playing a Conn Vintage One 1-BR trumpet. I copied his valve cap configuration by looking at the front cover and I like the change. Now if I can only find out what mouthpiece he uses... Oh... I'm sorry... back to the review...Pick it up!
