CD Reviews

Oddly beautiful

"I really liked this score. Simple, unassuming, and downright eerie--just like the protagonist and the entire movie. The music is at once haunting and simple yet somehow inaccesible to a certain degree. I dont really know how to explain it but buy it and see for yourself. There is no real connection that binds any one piece to another throughout the entire CD but that is consistent with the storyline. It's more associational than a normally overthought and overwrought marketing scheme you encounter with most soundtracks. But I think it works for that reason alone. The character in the film is a very disturbed and detached person and his mind works in truly mysterious ways. So does the film score. And the lyrical songs by the female duo are very good indeed and add to that small town atmosphere reflected in the film."
What a gem of a soundtrack

"amazing cd. haunting score. even better was the kittybank material...rarely can you find soundtrack lyrics to posess more than the obvious synopsis of movie material. wish i could find more. a "must buy" - even if you aren't into score music."

"I haven't seen this movie, but I really enjoyed the trailer. When the trailer was near the end, there was this very haunting melody. I really liked this song, so I purchased this soundtrack. The song that I heard was called "The Pouch Song" and it is a very hypnotic melody. The two singers from the group MERRICK are behind this song and the two other vocal selections on this recording. "Soft Shoe Shuffle" is such a dreamy and light song and you just can't help but be drawn it by it. I can't get enough of this short but sweet song. "Infinity" is another winner. Inara and Bryony meld their voices together so wonderfully. They are sure to be a major hit here in the very near future. But, I was very surprised that the rest of this soundtrack was so good. The songs are sound very mysterious and you really can't stop listening to them.Whether it is the vocal songs or the instrumentals, this is all fantastic music. Now, I need to see the movie."
