Marc Cianciola is trying to do many things and is somewhat of an enigma. A blend of multiple classic rock stylings, he is a gifted guitar player who writes and sings with passion, sensitivity, humor, angst and irreverence. He is obviously ambitious and succeeds on many of the levels he attempts with this debut effort. It will be curious indeed to see where he takes his craft on future recordings. "Light & Dark" will make you laugh, cry, ponder your existence and even enlighten amidst a backdrop of innovative classic rock guitaring. The future may be bright for this up and comer. This CD is worth the price of admission.
