"Okay, I'm no jazz expert. In fact I'm pretty new to the whole scene, but when I heard the first few bars of the first track, I knew I had to have it. It rocks, if you don't mind me saying, but Cary comfortably and effortlessly incorporates many influences, here. This guy is young, but he will be around for a long time. Definitely worth a listen."

"This is Marc Cary's first solo recording and it was a revelation to me when I first heard it. I had heard his playing for Abbey Lincoln and Betty Carter, but I just never expected this CD to be so good. Most of the cuts are originals and the playing throughout is very good. I have hundreds of jazz CDs but this one still gets its fair share of time on my player. Like many first works, it's original and exciting music that holds your interest throughout."
