"Manny Manuel is one of the best merengue singers ever, and this is his best album. It is the album that shows his greatest vocal range and style, the most irresistible songs, and perfecty polished arrangements and background vocals. There are 12 songs in all, including 2 salsas.



Manny has a voice you never tire of. He is alternatately mellow (Parece Mentira), bluesy (Payaso), playful (Y Lloras pro mi), naive (Mi Primier Beso), exuberant (quien vas a eganer), suave (Amor en el olvido), and on and on. Se va, Se va is a tour de force of vocal style. The two salsas are very noteworthy, proving he is not just a merengue singer. His expression and style are just amazing, he has one of the most naturally perfect voices I have ever heard, ideal for this kind of music.



The arrangements are just about letter perfect, the background vocals excellent and integral part of each song. Merengue is often consdired more "light weight" than salsa; but when you have material and perfomances like this, there is no need for the music to take a back seat to any other form.



Those who are familiar with Lleno de Vida already, but not this one, should really take a listen to this older CD. You will love this album."
