"When you first hear ManmadeGod you might think that they are just another entry in what appears to be an already overcrowded genre of Metal/Hard Rock but after you listen to their self-titled album a little furter you will realize that ManmadeGod is simply a great band waiting to be heard.Their music reminds me of The Doors mixed with a little Soundgarden and a touch of Stone Temple Pilots in their early years. Some of the best cuts on the album are "Safe Passage", "Swamp Water", and "Bad Creation" however the highlight of the album is "Lizard Bones" this song is simply one of the best songs I have heard in a long time.In a genre filled with Groups that are all starting to sound the same, ManmadeGod stands out above the rest at this point in time.Definitely worth taking a listen to."
ANOTHER CASUALITY

"I had to write this. have loved this album for 2 years now and am so disappointed to hear that they are no more. this band had the potential to be huge! just good old school rock with a twist of metal and blues. but a great vocalist, excellent songwriting and class musicians. what a shame. i was eagerly awaiting a follow up and now that hope is gone. Anyone within earshot would be a fool not to buy this classic. they will be sorely missed in a community and musical atmosphere that could no longer tolerate nurturing. such a shame. the only saving grace could be a "forbidden" reunion with the members now having the opportunity. but i am still in disbelief that this album went unnoticed and the members could not see fit to stick it out with so many different ways to release music (independant, internet sharing ect.). very disheartening.."

"I had bought this a few months back and I was expecting something along the lines of (maybe let's say Forbidden) only because the guitarist and drummer are both from that great underground bay area band. But it does not. At first I felt like I blew my money then after a few listens I had got into Pangs voice. Sounds like Chris Cornell. Which is a good thing. This album reminds my the whole grunge thing. Very catchy melodic vocals. Very straight foward rock. Repeat there is no new ground broken here. Just good rock."
Fantastic new band.

"I am a rock DJ. I hear 500 songs that sound the same every time I enter the station. Manmade God is a band that deserves a load of credit. Reminicent of the 70s as well as the early 90s (the best part of the 90s) but highly original, this disc is great for anyone who wants to hear something that hasn't been turned into horse form, killed, and beaten.Don't let people tell you that Safe Passage, the single, is the best song - it is actually the worst (but still very good). The whole album is exponentially better than Safe Passage. Choice cuts: Swamp Water, Search for Greater Things, and Meet My Maker."
Great, great band

"This 2003 release is a great album full of catchy but raw songs. It's sad that this album has been ignored by virtually everyone in the music community. I try sending songs of them to my friends, and the reviews are usually very good by them. Sad to know they've broken up after just this one album."
