Synopsis
Product Description SONYBMG recording artist Mandi Perkins is an intensely passionate and charismatic singer/songwriter who creates uncompromising melodic rock. She writes about her life and those around her in a musical form of empathy, which makes listeners, care, think and question. When discussing the album, Mandi states, Each song stems from my own personal experiences, the lives of the people closest to me and those I meet along the way...I think it s great to passionately feel, but there is a point when you should make sure you have an outlet, especially when the excess baggage takes control of your life. Hopefully listening to my music will be cathartic for other people. Her music has been featured on Laguna Beach, The Hills and The Real World on MTV and in Girlfriends on the CW. Alice In No Man's Land is Mandi Perkins, major label debut album. Similarly Requested CDs

CD ReviewsExcellent CD-must have Chad Plaggemeyer | Jenison,MI | 09/16/2008 (5 out of 5 stars) "This is a excellent CD! I like every song on it. Usually there are only a few choice songs that are good on cd's; but not on this one; every one rocks! I will definately by her next one when it comes out!" A great debut from a talented singer/song writer. Stephen M. Welch | Charleston, SC | 09/07/2008 (5 out of 5 stars) "I have been a fan of Mandy Perkins for a couple of years. I discovered her on MySpace.com. Though at the time she was an independent artist. So I was so excited to her that she was signed to a major label. In a day when record companies sign few artist to their label it is quite a feat to get signed today. And what do we get out of this? We get a finely crafted CD. From the songwriting to the musical arrangement to of course Mandy's singing. Everything just fits so perfectly you will fall in love with her music instantly. One of the joys of listening to the CD is that Mandy has recorded some of her earlier songs that were released independently. But these aren't just rerecorded from the earlier works. no. Mandy went so far as to rearrange the music. So if you hearing these songs for the first time then it's great but if your already a fan you get the extra bonus of hearing these songs in a different light. With Mandy's voice there may be some comparison to people like the lead singer of 10,000 Maniacs or similar artist. Though is some but really her voice is on different level. When she sings these 13 songs you feel as though she has lived each and every one(I know that can be said about a lot of artist). Make no mistake though Mandy's sings with a passion makes you stand up and notice. Her songs speak of individuality and of being your own person. Of heartbreak and love. Of sadness and happiness(and it's funny too because she has said that she mainly writes when she is angry) and everything in between. Play a sample of the song here. Or better yet go to www.mandiperkins.com and watch her "Who Am I" video. If that doesn't make you a fan then nothing will. Mandy here as made a very impressive debut album that will excite older fans and newer fans alike. Listen and I sure you will be one too." A stunning and thought provoking album A. DeMerchant | Maine, USA | 08/30/2008 (5 out of 5 stars) "Rock literati at its best. Unapologetic rock, with strong vocals and even stronger lyrical themes. The album leaves behind the usual adolescent subject matter that has been regular radio fodder for much of the last decade(perhaps more), and instead tackles subjects that most will truly relate to. The album delves into how we define ourselves and how our journey is sometimes helped, sometimes hindered by those around us. How some people leave a mark on us even when we've moved on. Unquestionably an album worth added to your collection."
