Album Description"Aggressive and tightly focused ... inhuman drumming, lacerating guitar riffs, and clipped vocal lines that spew indictments on modern life." -- Ink 19 Man At Arms makes music that has been called "masculine," "articulate," and "like Primus" (which they sympathize with, but are reluctant to understand). The band's first full-length manages to capture the essence of their raucous live sound with more polish than any previous efforts. Where spindly riffs and propellant drumming are reminiscent of the band's patented sound, Man At Arms stretches out to include near-danceable break beats and a few monotonous phrases. While far from being a concept album, the songs' lyrical themes span the spectrum from the universe's beginnings ("Swamp Things") to its impending endlessness ("Telescope"). However, it is still fucking punk rock.
