Hans Zender is conducting Rundfunk-Sinfonieorchester Saarbrucken, and everything is first class: outstanding orchestral playing, a detailed, spacious and natural-sounding recording, and (above all) an excellent interpretation that is far more consistent and convincing than those of Abbado, Bernstein, and others.

"Hans Zender one of the most prominent conductors in Mahler in the second half of the XX Century.. His approach and enormous gamut of clever accents have added new perspectives around this notable composer.



So, in case you still have not acquired any of his interesting performances, I would suggest you to listen and then convince by yourself.
