'There's No Greater Power Than 'The Power of Good-bye.' '

""The Power of Good-bye" is another knockout from Madonna's RAY OF LIGHT. Like "Frozen," and "Ray of Light" before it, "The Power of Good-bye" is an astonishing example of Madonna's prowess as a singer. People have criticized her for speaking with a British rube since the release of RAY OF LIGHT in spring 1998. In actuality, the new accent was born winter 1996, when the sparkling "Evita" was released. I believe it has contributed to the extraordinary change in her voice, which has always been a powerhouse of strength and emotion--just like the performer, herself. Personally, I do not care for maxi-singles, which is why I purchased this two-track version. I suggest you do the same, as maxi-singles seem to be in circulation FOREVER, while singles empty from stores and never return."
Trippy Cover Art, Pefect songs, but NO MIXES?!?!

"Power of Good-bye is an extremely great song, with slow guitar melodies and an extremely catchy chorus. It's B side in this single is also very well done, "Mer Girl" encompases Madonna's thoughts on the death of her mother (who died when she was very young). Power of Goodbye reached 11 in the US pop charts, and it was a top ten hit seemingly in all over the rest of the world. The packaging is great, as it comes with a wraparound paper case with a cd slip on the side, with an amazing font to go with the radiant cover art. HOWEVER, the song has no mixes on this single, which I really don't understand. To get mixes you must either get the overpriced import single from Australia, which doesn't come in a real slip case, or the import from Japan which is dramatically overpriced and impossible to find. Even more rare is the single from Europe with only a few mixes. NOTE...even though it says special order above, it ships extremely fast!"
Very touching.

"Madonna really has a way with words. Goodbye really is powerful. Forget the young divas Maadonna knows what we all really need to hear she is an artiste."

"Madonna is known for writing such lyrics. She has done it again with captivating ur attention by using lyrics and music to make this single an excellent one. There are alot of artists out there who have such terrible music ,sometimes I wonder why they're in the biz. Madonna obviously loves what she does and whats even more she keeps doing it. Unlike other artists who come and go, Madonna has shocked, entertained, manipulated and inspired her fans for more than 15 years. Madonna does'nt have that Mariah Carey, Celine Dion attitude thinking she's god. I believe Madonna was born to entertain, others are in it to waste our money. Yah Baby! Madonna is the bomb! And after all her and I are LEO's, and we know Leo's RULE!!!!"
