"In 1992 Madonna would shock the world, yet again, with the Dominatrix Style Song, Erotica. This song is a very good song by Madonna, despite it's controversy.
1. Album Edit: Just what is says.
2. Kenlou B-Boy Mix: This version is okay. I am not too fond of the instruments used. An alternate version of this song, was used on The Girlie Show.
3. WO 12" - The Best mix of Erotica. One thing I love about this version, is that it used the lyrics from the Sex Book song "Erotic". William Orbit's famous beats and tunes fit in perfectly with "Erotica".
4. Underground Club Mix: A Pretty decent version of the song. I do like the hissing at the begining.
5. Masters at Work Dub: Proably the worst version of Erotica. This version was not a great piece of work, it sounds like they made it in 2minutes.
6. Jeep Beats: This version is a really good version, because it included lyrics like "You Thrill Me, You put me in a Trance" these are lyrics from the orginal version of "Erotica" which was titled "You Thrill me".
7. Madonna's in My Jeep Mix: I don't know why this version was even included here, it is almost exactly like the Kenlou B-Boy mix. This song comes in right behind Masters at work dub, being my second least fav. version.
Overall This cd still gets 5/5 Stars"
Great song, excellent remixes

"Although "Erotica" reached number 3 on the Billboard charts, it is probably not remembered as one of Madonna's more beloved singles. That's in part due to the fact that this single was overshadowed by the inept Sex book Madonna released at the time
(when Madonna took it upon herself to be a provacateur) and the critical pounding she took from the book and film, Body of Evidence. Yet Erotica is one of Madonna's best singles. It seems like a retread of Justify My Love, but the song proves darker and much more haunting than that 1990 single. Madonna's seductive yet deep vocals croon over a hypnotic house beat. The remixes of this song are equally good, particularly William Orbit's sensational 12inch mix which uses alternate lyrics for its' source (the lyrics are much more explicit but just as imaginative). Also, the hip-hop remix by Kenlou is equally seductive, while the Masters at Work house mix is perfect for clubs."

"This has got to be one of Madonna's most inspired works. Could anyone else sings this song? Janet? Cher? Whitney? No of course not! Madonna growls and purrs her way through on the most hot and truely erotic songs ever recorded. She begins with a funky beat and lets you know who is in charge!"
I'm not a fan of Madonna's or remixes, but...

"I have followed Madonna's work since Holiday and Borderline. Most of her stuff is marginal at best, however, I respect her work more than most self-proclaimed music critics. Some of her earlier songs that I did like quickly became dated and intolerable to listen to now (the Immaculate Collection era). Then came the Ray of Light. An excellent piece of work in collaboration with William Orbit. This single contains Erotica (WO 12 Inch), which must represent the first meeting of these two minds. I highly recommend this single if you like Ray of Light, the song Erotica, or William Orbit. The WO 12 Inch is well worth the price of this CD,and the other mixes are not without some merit. Beware if buying this CD used: There is an Erotica single with the same cover, which only contains the original version and an instrumental. Make sure you get the one with the "Remixes" on it."

"If you buy this single, you're buying it for the William Orbit mix. It's excellent and features completely different lyrics than the original. It's really not to be missed and is on par with the "Justify My Love" remix he did two years prior to this. The other versions are all basically the same, and don't hit their stride until after the long and clumsy hip-hop beat intro that most of them feature. If you saw her Girlie Show performance on HBO or the were at a concert on the tour, the version of Erotica performed there is from this single (it sounded better in concert ironically). On the whole, nothing too great, but again the Orbit mix is fantastic and makes this single more than worth its price."
