"Amongst all the psycho-metal that's permeating the scene nowadays its nice to find a truly authentic psychobilly band that sticks to its rockabilly roots while pounding out sick but catchy psycho tunes. Enter Mad Marge and the Stonecutters, a truly awesome band fronted by Alicia Ridenour whose fierce pipes saturate the band's debut effort with lots of yummy goodness. She also faces the tough task of dealing with the inevitable comparisons to the Horrorpops. While Mad Marge has tons of groove, their sound never strays into the pop punk works and the band's psychobilly sound is never in question. The music is cool punk with a thick double bass sound that never gets too overbearing. The music is punk and fast, but not hard and never metal. Everything about this record is cool. Songs are buried firmly in the horror realm with odes to murder, sin and evil. If you are turned off by a female-fronted psychobilly band, or are just tired of the usual punk rock crap, give Mad Marge a chance. This is pure rock 'n' roll done a thousand times better than the cookie cutter garbage on the radio today. Reviewed by: George Koroneos"
