"Mack 10 is bringing some good fresh west coast gangsta rap with this album. From start to finish the album is solid. EVERY SONG ON THIS CD IS GOOD."
Good album with many others on it

"First off it is not really a Mack 10 solo album. Guests are on every song, and 2 Mack isn't even on, out of the 11 songs. It is more like a showcase of some of his new labelmates (as with his "Ghetto Gutter & Gangsta" album). Overall however it is a solid CD and one of his better works. Production is good and done mostly by Young Trey (5 songs), Leslie Braithewaite & Timbaland each do 2, and Lil Jon & R. Coes each do 1. There is no weak track on here that I skip or no classic but all 11 are good songs and you can listen from start to finish without skipping any trracks (except maybe the 3 skits). A good album to have for Mack fans.
"Mack 10 Presents Da Hood is a great album and it's Mack 10's best. I am suprised that Mack released such a classic album 7 years after his debut. Every song on this album is great. My favorite songs are LA Fo Ya, Welcome to the Hood, and Hittin' Switches. This album is classic, it's a must have."
