"While I'm new to anime music, I'm not new to anime in general. I've seen a lot of opening and ending credits, and I know what songs I like and I don't like. RahXephon's opening, I like, and I loved Wolf's Rain ending. So when I had heard that both of these singles were going to be on one CD, I had to know what else was going to be between these two excellent songs.
And I found out. This is one heck of an anime CD. It covers all the favorites from RahXephon, Wolf's Rain, and Escaflowne: The Movie, while also having a great mix of other songs without such well-known affiliations. Though "Hemisphere" and "Gravity" are the best songs on this CD there are plenty of other tracks that will catch an ear or two (I hope both, otherwise something is wrong with your other ear...). Sakamoto Maaya's voice is something that, once heard, will never leave your head. Yes, it will be difficult to explain to people who catch you mumbling the words to these songs, but I wouldn't try to hold it back. You'll explode.
Below is a listing of songs and my personal rating of each:
1. Yoake no Octave.............***
2. Hemisphere..................*****
3. Daniel......................***
4. Bike........................****
5. Shippo no Uta...............***
6. Yubiwa -23 Carats-..........*****
7. Ongaku......................****
8. Midori no Hane..............****
9. Shima Shima.................****
10. Kimodori...................****
11. Tune the Rainbow...........****
12. Toto.......................*****
13. Here.......................****
14. Vector.....................***
15. THE GARDEN OF EVERYTHING...****
16. Gravity....................*****
I highly recommend this collection of singles to anyone new and interested in the world of anime music. It covers all the best there is to offer, as well as showing what can be found in cracks. Plus. Sakamoto Maaya is slowly becoming the new name in anime music, catching up with Yoko Kanno (whose name is found on this album a few times as the composer). This is a great all-around CD for light listening."

"I am not one to stuff $50 into a import cd so I was pretty happy to find a Maaya Sakanoto cd that was reasonbly priced but also has almost all of my favorite tunes from her.
The only thing I have against this is the album art. While I like the cover, the album art gets pretty ridicudlous and poppy. I understand: well that's what J-pop is like and the whole cultural thing. However it still annoyed me.
Great cd though."
