"It's rather difficult to choose the best Chick Corea album, because there's many "best" albuns! I could name: "The Mad Hatter", "Children's songs", "Piano improvisation Vol 1" , "In Zurich" or even "Chick Corea Acoustic Band" for it. BUT... What I can say about "Lyric Suite for Sextet" is that, it's perhaps the DEEPEST Corea's album, on the sense of finding the pure magic of the music, he has made something this way on "DUET" and "Leprechaun", "Crystal Silence", or even "Mad Hatter", but there's a true magic on this CD, something which cannot be expressed by words, it brings back to the scene, kind of a magic on the whole music which existed on the Debussy, or Faure days. It's a pity that Stravinsky did not hear it. It's quite amazing this music that it makes me remember things that I had forgotten, kind of scenes from my childhood, when there was pure magic on the air, when I was fascinating by the sounds, I think I always had this suite inside of me, specially the second piece, called "Waltz", I'd like to know where can I find a book with all original sheet music. This CD makes me ever believe that there's a God, there's many worlds, there's always LIFE! Thanks Chick for making this Suite."
