I touched her

"i still have the ticket stub - Cabaret Metro in Chicago circa 1986 or 87. I loved her, worshipped her (but at the same time lusted after her beau du jour clint ruin) who was the headliner with his little-known band, Wiseblood. anyway, after she did her show (all spoken word - great, but i wanted songs), she fell back into the audience and I found myself right next to her. granted, i was 16 years old (I'm 34 now), but i remember it like it was yesterday. she was watching clint wail and, as she did so, i reached out and gently touched her shoulder. to me it was like a Duran Duran fan in the 80's or Beatles fan in the 60's. just to say that i touched her! she then looked at me, and, to this day, i really don't know everything i said to her. I think i likened her to a god or something. whatever i said, however, she replied with, "thanks, that's sweet."
-lydia lunch said the word sweet?
anyway, she is one of a kind and i (and all fans) can only hope that she is happy and may someday realease new material.
peace (and hell) to all."
