"Lupillo Rivera's voice is truly magnificent, the best banda singer since Chalino. He has the tone of 50's jazz singer Billy Eckstine(a rich baritone). His full rich baritone is put to full use with his relaxed style of singing and his great sense of humor(often sounding slightly intoxicated on some cuts), he laughs, shouts, and just has a great time, and that is what shines through on his cd's. I think Lupillo is the finest male banda singer today, he also has a great depth for pouring his emotions out into the songs. This cd is exellent and should be acquired by all fans of great expressive singing and banda music."
Lupillo's voice is one in a million...

"He puts his heart into every song he sings, demonsrating his God-given talent. I never really cared much for his early CD's but since he released DESPRECIADO, I am definitely of of his greatest fans. I have since purchased every CD he has ever made but my favorites will always be Despreciado and after. Sufriendo a Solas is definitely my favorite song on that CD. When I hear him sing those words with all he's got, it gives me goosebumps! I am so anxious for his new CD to come out. I know it will be all I expect it to be. Keep up the good work Lupillo and see you in Universal City in October...hechele ganas mi pelon! I love you!"
