"Being into a lot of this 'Nuevo Flamenco' stuff like Strunz & Farah, Govi, Jesse Cook, Andres Laprida, etc., just to name a few, I had not even heard of Luis until I 'discovered' his CD at a 'Borders' outlet store here in Cleveland for five bucks new (what a sin, huh?)! I liked the description of his music on the back of the CD, so I bought it, and was blown away by the quality of his playing/music and the quality of the recording (I listen on very revealing Magnepan/Magneplanar speakers with McIntosh equipment, so I can truly hear quality or lack of). His stylings and compositions are absolutely first rate, and the interplay of percussion on this release is just perfect! This is world class, beautiful, passionate latin tinged acoustic/nylon guitar at its best, and Luis takes it to the next level!!!"
I love this one too, Luis!

"Luis's compositions are moods and flavors that are elegant and tasty. His songs are like no one else's. Unique and yet hauntingly familiar, especially the moodier pieces. The energetic tunes make me move despite myself. The rhythmic ferocity and taste of the musicians supporting Luis make this album a real treat. The closer I listen, the more I like the album. I loved the first album, "Cafe Ole," and have been waiting with more than anticipation for "Spanish Kiss." It was worth the wait and then some. And I am delighted Luis is now with a label that is making him write and release his songs with increased regularity and frequency. Again soon, Luis."
Another imagination activator...

"Not as good as Cafe Ole for road trips...and a few vocals that I didn't really like. (Thank the maker for CD burners.) Some of these tracks are nice and romantic...which is probably what caught my ear and prompted me to purchase. Not "hard" new flamenco...more laid-back.I only give this one to people who liked Cafe Ole or any of the Govi works."
This one is excellent also!!!

"I purchased his first CD Cafe Ole and immediately loved it. It is one of my two favorite CD's of this type of music (the other one is Johannes Linstead's Sol, Luna, Tierra). This CD is not quite as good as his first one, but it is still excellent. This group has originality and variety and some of the most varied percussion of any artist in this "new flamenco" style of music. Highly recommended!"
