"Lucía Mendez is Mexico's finest example of someone who has maintained fame, despite limited artistic contributions. Known far more for the gossip sourrounding her life through out her career than her music or acting, Lucia built her career based on fame and publicity a'la Madonna in the 70's and Cher before her. With her radiant beauty and poise to constantly keep people talking about her, she maintaned a strong hold on the Spanish world with Soap Opera's, both on Television and her personal life (remember she dated Luis Miguel when he was 18 and she 35!?)Despite all this, there have been some rather addicting pop songs in her career, and I must praise the fact that they're on CD form now! This is so far the best Lucía Mendez compilation that has been released, gathering together such pop gems as "Don Corazón", the disco smash "Enamorada" , her last big hit "Castígame", the Cure-induced "Margarita" and her smash "Un Alma En Pena", which served as the theme song for her 1988 Soap "El Extraño Retorno De Diana Salazár".Lucía used her voice well, despite having a very limited vocal capability. Whomever was in charge of her recordings must have been aware, since no songs on this collection reflect her vocal weakness. All songs work well to her style and can be VERY addictive. This compilation is worth it, if you enjoy Kitsche and breathy sultry vocals. This goes right up there with Paula Abdul and Thalia, but I must say that this is better than anything they have ever done. Cheers!"

"Since the beginning of her career, Lucia has been the point of discussion for her beauty, her talent as an actress and her musical talent ... Through the years she has some great albums, and some albums were even flops not selling enough ... but she has mantained herself as the latin DIVA of all time, since she came on stage many many years ago ...
This collection of her hits, has the most complete collection ever done by this artist ... since her first hit ever to the latest ... from her ballads to mariachis to her pop-songs during the 80's and 90's ...
There are 23 songs ... yes 23 hits ... from her career spanning more than 25 years in the music industry and television ... Its been a while that I have been looking for a complete collection of Lucia's hits ... and this is most definitely the best collection ...
With songs like "Corazon de Piedra", "Atada a Nada", my favorite "Amor Imposible", "Amiga Mia", "Siempre estoy Pensando en Ti", "Tu y la Mentira", "Un Alma en Pena", "Don Corazon", "Ella es una Senora" and "Colorina" ... great hits, nostalgic themes, love songs ... all wonderfully performed by a great artist.
Lucia, Latin DIVA ... if you are a fan, you MUST have this in your collection ..."
