CD ReviewsVery groovy. 12/12/2003 (5 out of 5 stars) "While other people compare 'em to Radiohead and other things of the like, I get a much different like-band vibe from this group. If Lowcraft were put into a bag with Houston, Sunny Day Real Estate, The Fire Theft, the music creativeness and hooks of Failure.. this would be somewhere close to the mark. In general, this CD for me was a pretty groovy rainy day album where everything just fits and it's a snappy kind of drunken haze feel. If you find this CD around somewhere, grab it and take it home -- listen to it all the way through. After a few listens, these songs really begin climbing in your ears." Amazing debut album from Portland Oregon group. N. George | Seattle, WA USA | 05/11/2000 (5 out of 5 stars) "Lowcraft turned out an amazing debut LP (they had released an EP called Spoons under the name Absinthe, I have it, but its out of print now) that was unfortunately only relesed in the UK. The band sounds like a combination of Pulp, Roxy Music with hint of Radiohead, yet they're American. Stand out tracks inclue Happy In My Pants, Tree Mantra, One Of Us , Inch Away From Heaven and Pornstar (on Spoons, these last two songs were combined as Inch Away From Heaven)."
