CD ReviewsSure anonymity -- be an irish jazz musician. John F. Norris | 09/08/1999 (4 out of 5 stars) "He won't leave home (Ireland) to tour internationally and promote himself, but this is a fine jazz guitarist. He jokes that he kissed a frog and instead of turning into a prince he turned into an Irish jazz musician -- a sure path to the poorhouse. I caught a couple sets in Dublin -- good stuff." My favourite guitar player John F. Norris | On the road | 08/18/2000 (5 out of 5 stars) "As an amateur musician in Ireland in the 70s & 80s my main inspiration was Louis Stewart, this fine guitarist played with the cream of bands in the 60s & 70s before settling down at home in Dublin making only rare appearances abroad. After I took to roadie work in the 80s, I worked for Irish blues legend Rory Gallagher (RIP) who often lamented the fact that Louis didnt have the success he so richly deserves. My favourite Louis Stewart album is Out On His Own recorded in Bray in 1976."
