"If you are new to the field of traditional jazz, this reasonably priced cd could be your very first introduction to the genious of Louis "Satchmo" Armstrong.
The compilation contains samples of his later work (some songs are with just a rhythm section, some with orchestra, some with dixieland format of the All Stars). Some of his most popular songs are included (Hello Dolly, C'est si bon ...), as well as an song from his "Porgy and Bess" album, but the amount of high quality jazz is sufficient even for jazz audiences.
Among the sidemen are Oscar Peterson and the trombone player Big Chief Russell Moore."
