"What makes the 35-plus year solo career of Lou Reed so brilliant - yet frustrating - is his ever-changing delivery of music for his touching, haunting and poetic lyrics; he is like a hard throwing pitcher who will toss a few knuckleballs just because he can, not due to any strategy to get a batter out.



The studio albums are from 1972-1976 and includes the classic Transformer (1972) - highlighted by Satellite of Love, Walk on the Wild Side and the driving guitar riff on Vicious - and the misunderstood conceptual masterpiece, Berlin (1973). The debut solo effort - Lou Reed (1972) - mostly contains Velvet Underground outtakes, while funk dominates the mix in Sally Can't Dance (1975). Reed takes a softer approach on Coney Island Baby (1976), which is one of his strongest efforts in crafting lyrics for an entire album.



Each disc comes in a mini-LP sleeve and the ongoing series from Sony BMG Music Entertainment is imported from Germany. It is a nice collectible for fans, with the Reed set a solid gaze into his sound and vision."

"You have the wrong track list and review. You have vol 1 track list and review when this is vol 2. I would purchase this but I'mm afraid I would get the wrong one."
