Product Description On June 14, 2010 at the Kennedy Center Concert Hall in Washington DC, non-profit music organization Beethoven Found will hold a World Tour Concert Gala that will feature Beethoven's rediscovered works. Beethoven Found Vice President and master oboist H. David Meyers will co-host the event with a fabulous guest celebrity. Proceeds from the concert will go directly to VH1 Save The Music to aid in their efforts to restore musical instruments and music education programs in America's public schools. This will be one of the most important classical music concerts ever staged. It will consist of two of Beethoven's lost and rediscovered works, Overture to Macbeth and Andante from Oboe Concerto. Other performed works will include Fantasy for Piano, Chorus, and Orchestra and Beethoven's 5th Symphony in C Minor. These works will be performed by Aglaia Koras (pianist), the City Choir of Washington, and the Beethoven Found Philharmonic featuring members of major symphonies. Also performing are the students of the Aurelia String Quartet of the Music Institute of Chicago, who won a gold medal in the Fischoff National Chamber Competition for the nation's outstanding classical musicians. Sponsors and patrons have been invited to this star-studded event, in addition to White House officials, senators, members of Congress, and influential cultural and business leaders. The concert gala is sure to be a spectacular night to remember for VH1 Save The Music, Beethoven Found, and most importantly, those deserving students in need of musical instruments!
