"This guy might be the strangest thing I ever saw in concert. Standing surrounded by all the many instruments he plays, which congeal, onstage, into a contraption that looks like a cross between a barrel, a boat, and something built by Eisturzende Neubaten, this feller played a show that almost drove me out of my mind. He's a one-man band that sounds a little like an old victrola, a little like Tom Waits, a little like a child's music-box... and he's got a hicupping singing voice reminiscent of a rockabilly singer. Even though this cd pales in comparison to the show, it's a must-have. It's not music for the weak at heart though, The Lonesome Organist is as raucous and urgent as the best punk band you ever heard. ...And he's so damned odd that you just have to buy his cd."
